It depends\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sandiegouniontribune.com\/2025\/08\/24\/a-big-change-is-coming-to-your-sdge-bill-will-you-pay-more-or-less-it-depends\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Aug. 24<\/a>): The new $24 monthly fee charged by SDG&amp;E is blatant extortion of $288 per year from only home solar users.<\/p>\n<p>Non-solar users are not affected by this new fee because they get a 10% discount on their cost per kilowatt-hour of electricity, which will offset the new $24 monthly fee.
