He shouted insults and accusations at Ms Allan, who quickly left the area while a security detail blocked the men.<\/p>\n
Police earlier said they were aware of the incident, noting the premier’s security team had intervened.<\/p>\n

In a video posted to X (formerly Twitter), Ms Allan said she “never expected to come face-to-face with a Neo-Nazi \u2026 at a press conference”.<\/p>\n
“I’ll continue to fight for every single Victorian and push back against this odious, evil behaviour of such a small number of people,” she said.<\/p>\n
During a caucus meeting in Canberra later that morning, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese told his colleagues it was “quite horrific” to hear about Mr Sewell’s actions at the press conference.<\/p>\n
Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles condemned Mr Sewell’s actions at Ms Allan’s press conference.<\/p>\n
“Obviously what we saw today with the premier was behaviour which was intimidatory and, in turn, confronting for her,” Mr Marles told 7.30.<\/p>\n
“I know the premier very well and I know that she’s not going to be deterred from any actions that she takes as the premier.<\/p>\n
“People in this country absolutely have a right to protest. They absolutely have a right for freedom of speech. But what they don’t have a right to do is to spread hatred, to intimidate, because ultimately people also have a right in this country to feel safe.”<\/p>\n
Victorian-based federal MP Josh Burns has told the ABC’s Afternoon Briefing that while he could not comment specifically on Mr Sewell’s arrest, he said seeing Neo-Nazis on the steps of parliament was unacceptable.<\/p>\n
“Seeing Neo-Nazis cowardly walk around our streets in masks and in uniform, in black-cladded clothes, cowardly hiding their own identities is completely unacceptable,” Mr Burns said.<\/p>\n
“Having Neo-Nazis turn up to the press conference of the premier and elected officials is completely unacceptable.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
He said he was proud of Australia’s diversity and multiculturalism.<\/p>\n
“The dark and bigoted views that are being displayed by this small group of cowardly bigots frankly does not represent Australia,” Mr Burns said.<\/p>\n
Victorian senator Lidia Thorpe described the attack on Camp Sovereignty as outrageous.<\/p>\n
She said authorities were aware of the threat Melbourne’s Neo-Nazi group posed to the camp.<\/p>\n
