WASHINGTON \u2014 President Trump<\/a> insisted Tuesday that a video showing objects being hurled from a second-floor White House window was \u201cprobably AI-generated\u201d \u2014 despite an aide confirming the bizarre footage was real and the result of a contractor\u2019s work.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s probably AI-generated,\u201d Trump said in response to a question about the footage during an Oval Office event at which he announced the Space Force\u2019s headquarters were\u00a0moving to Huntsville, Ala.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cActually you can\u2019t open the windows. You know why? They\u2019re all heavily armored and bulletproof,\u201d the president added.<\/p>\n

Mystery objects were recently hurled out of one of the White House\u2019s windows, a bizarre video shows. X<\/p>\n

\u201cI know every window up there. The last place I\u2019d be doing it is that, because there\u2019s cameras all over the place, right, including yours.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump went on to claim that his wife, Melania, had recently complained about the lack of natural ventilation.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/strong>She said, \u2018I\u2019d love to have a little fresh air come in.\u2019 But you can\u2019t. They\u2019re bulletproof, number one. They\u2019re sealed. And number two, each window weighs about 600 pounds. You have to be pretty strong to open them up,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The footage, which started going viral on social media over the weekend, captured a person repeatedly tossing the items out of a top-floor window to the ground below. X<\/p>\n

When Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy<\/a> approached the president to show him the video on his smartphone, a member of the president\u2019s\u00a0entourage suggested the window may have been opened due to a renovation project in the Lincoln Bedroom\u2019s bathroom.<\/p>\n

But Trump swept aside the renovation theory and doubled down on the AI explanation.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, those windows are sealed. Those windows are all \u2014 they\u2019re all sealed. You can\u2019t open them,\u201d Trump insisted.<\/p>\n

The person behind the mysterious saga was a contractor who had been carrying out regular maintenance while President Trump was away, a White House official said. REUTERS<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of the problems we have with AI<\/a>, it\u2019s both good and bad. If something happens really bad, just blame AI. But also they create things. You know, it works both ways. If something happens that\u2019s really bad, maybe I\u2019ll have to just blame AI,\u201d the president said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI see so many phony things. I saw something as I was growing up, from the time I was a baby until now. I said, \u2018Who did that?\u2019 It was AI generated. So it\u2019s a little bit scary to be honest with you, but, but those windows are all very heavily sealed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hours earlier, an aide verified the footage that\u00a0started going viral on social media over the Labor Day weekend.<\/p>\n

The person behind the mysterious dumping \u201cwas a contractor who was doing regular maintenance while the President was gone,\u201d a White House official told The Post, without specifying when the curious indcident took place.<\/p>\n

The video appeared to be filmed from the rooftop of the nearby Hotel Washington or a neighboring building.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t immediately clear what the objects were or why they were being thrown through the window.<\/p>\n

Online sleuths speculated they were being lobbed from the White House\u2019s Lincoln Bedroom.<\/p>\n

Trump previously revealed that the Lincoln Bedroom\u2019s \u201cterribly\u201d remodeled bathroom was among the rooms he planned to make over since moving back to Washington, DC.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll be doing the Lincoln bathroom, which was Art Deco,\u201d Trump said last month, adding, \u201cWe\u2019re making it actually incredible.\u201d<\/p>\n

Separately, Trump also revealed plans to erect a\u00a0$200 million, privately funded White House ballroom that is expected to be ready for use\u00a0before the president\u2019s\u00a0term ends in early 2029.<\/p>\n
