The grouping is expected to vote for an amendment that would require home packages to be made available before the planned November rollout.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Speaking with ABC Radio National Breakfast, Ruston said there was nothing stopping the government from releasing the packages now.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">&#8220;I never agreed to the withholding of the packages,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"Blockquote_blockquote__YVWQm ContentAlignment_marginBottom__4H_6E ContentAlignment_overflowAuto__c1_IL\" data-component=\"Blockquote\">\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">&#8220;The releasing of packages is not dependent on the legislation.  The legislation merely puts in place the new framework for how we deliver aged care into the future.  There is nothing at all stopping the government from releasing packages right now.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">&#8220;The sector is entirely able to do it.  The department says they&#8217;re more than capable of getting them out the door. It&#8217;s the time to have an intelligent discussion of this issue and work out how we modernise.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">But he doesn&#8217;t think that means the government should charge for FOIs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">&#8220;I, as a matter of principle, am not comfortable at all with the fact that a charge would be applied. I mean, I don&#8217;t know what the point of the charge is. That was eSafety.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">&#8220;That is an organisation responsible for ensuring the safety, particularly of young people, online getting tied up, doing 600 frivolous FOI requests that they are required by law to deal with.
