Season 2 of The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys<\/a> was full of scorned exes, new lovers, screaming matches, and even a few tears \u2014 but there was one particular teary-eyed moment that surprised\u00a0Kathleen French, Senior Vice President of Entertainment Unscripted Current Production at NBCUniversal,\u00a0the most, and it came from Jesse McBee<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe actually cried on camera to his brother,\u201d French told The Daily Dish in an exclusive interview. \u201cI mean, these are hard-core farmers who have calluses on their hands. And I thought he was vulnerable and honest.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cIt was really lovely. You know, I think real men do cry. I thought it was really nice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jesse’s emotional moment came after he spent much of Season 2 worrying\u00a0about marrying his high school sweetheart Alli Ventresca<\/a>. Things came to a head on Episode 8, when just two weeks before the wedding, Jesse\u2019s anxiety go so bad he had his first-ever anxiety-attack<\/a> while harvesting alone.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was so open and honest about his fears when he started having panic attacks before the wedding,” French shared. “Having an honest conversation with his then-fianc\u00e9e<\/a>, now wife, about, \u2018I\u2019m having second thoughts here,\u2019 I thought that was kind of amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n

After the anxiety attack, Jesse opened up to his older brother\u00a0Steven McBee Jr<\/a>.\u00a0in a moment that surprised French.\u00a0She noted that she was impressed by Steven Jr. and Cole McBee<\/a>\u2019s reaction to the conversation.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHis brothers reacted in kind,\u201d she said. \u201cThey were like, \u2018Oh my god, this is really serious.\u2019 And there was no like, \u2018Oh, suck it up, let\u2019s go.\u2019 It was more like, \u2018Oh my gosh, you\u2019re really in crisis. How can we help?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite all of Jesse\u2019s hesitations, he and Alli are now living happily ever after post-Season 2. They welcomed a baby girl named Summer Leigh McBee<\/a> on April 17 \u2014 Alli\u2019s 30th birthday. And Jesse has continued to be open and honest about his feelings on parenthood.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I\u2019m being completely honest, it was really tough to start,\u201d he said during an interview at Bravo HQ. \u201cI mean, it\u2019s a life change, and those first few weeks are a whirlwind. I honestly barely remember them; I feel like it was just a phase in my life that went by so fast. You know, feed the baby, try to get some sleep here and there, and then she\u2019s pooping. Changing diapers. I think I\u2019ve changed five total, which is pretty good.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although Jesse and Alli battled over whether to live in the city house or country house during Season 2, Jesse admitted Alli eventually \u201cwon that battle.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy mom [Kristi McBee]<\/a> lives in the city, [Alli\u2019s] parents live in the city, so as far as babysitting Summer, it makes life a lot easier when it comes to that,\u201d he said during his Bravo HQ interview.<\/p>\n

Bravo exec Kathleen French reveals what producers knew about the FBI investigation into Steven McBee Sr.<\/p>\n

Although Jesse ended up surprising McBee Dynasty producers the most, French admitted that\u00a0the FBI Investigation into Steven McBee Sr.<\/a> was also a shock. As she put it, \u201cPeople always say, \u2018Oh my god, you produced this.\u2019 It\u2019s like, no, I don\u2019t know that we could ever produce an FBI investigation.”<\/p>\n

Steven Jr. revealed the investigation to his brothers, who had been kept in the dark, on the Season 2 finale \u2014 but producers had hints of what was going on ahead of time.<\/p>\n

French, more specifically, pointed to Galyna Saltkovska<\/a> and Steven Jr.\u2019s hot mic moment<\/a> as a turning point in the show.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen she said that \u2018Don\u2019t even get me started about the investigation,\u2019 we all knew that there was something happening,\u201d French shared. \u201cBut again, the family was pretty tight lipped until they felt comfortable about actually saying something.\u201d<\/p>\n
