UVALDE, Texas \u2014 New information coming in regarding one of the school police officers charged for his role in the Robb Elementary mass shooting.<\/p>\n
He may very well get to move his criminal trial out of Uvalde County, the law firm representing former Uvalde CISD officer Adrian Gonzalez, confirmed to News 4 San Antonio\/Fox SA.<\/p>\n
San Antonio District Attorney Christina Mitchell will not object to their motion and fight the request to move Gonzalez’s trial out of Uvalde. County attorneys for Gonzales argue that their client can’t get a fair trial in Uvalde, citing intense public anger and heavy media coverage.<\/p>\n
Gonzalez was one of the first officers to respond and faces 29 counts of abandoning and endangering a child in connection to that shooting that killed 19 children and two teachers.<\/p>\n
Gonzalez and former Uvalde ISD District Police Chief Pete Arredondo were both indicted back in June of last year. Both men have pleaded not guilty.<\/p>\n
