{"id":196789,"date":"2025-09-03T12:19:10","date_gmt":"2025-09-03T12:19:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/196789\/"},"modified":"2025-09-03T12:19:10","modified_gmt":"2025-09-03T12:19:10","slug":"walmart-backed-onepay-adds-wireless-plans-to-everything-app","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/196789\/","title":{"rendered":"Walmart-backed OnePay adds wireless plans to everything app"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Walmart-backed OnePay offers credit and debit cards, high-yield savings accounts, buy now, pay later loans and a digital wallet with peer-to-peer payments.<\/p>\n<p>Photo downloaded from OnePay website<\/p>\n<p>OnePay, the fintech firm majority owned by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/WMT\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Walmart<\/a>, is launching its own branded wireless plan as it seeks to become a one-stop shop for its users, CNBC has learned.<\/p>\n<p>OnePay Wireless will be available starting Wednesday in the OnePay app, according to Gigs, the mobile services startup that partnered with the company.<\/p>\n<p>The plan costs $35 a month for unlimited 5G data, talk and text on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/T\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AT&amp;T<\/a> network, Gigs said. The plans are activated in-app with a few clicks and don&#8217;t require credit checks or activation fees, the startup said.<\/p>\n<p>OnePay, created by Walmart in 2021 alongside venture firm Ribbit Capital,\u00a0has methodically built out its offerings in a bid to become an American super app akin to overseas offerings like WeChat or Alipay.
