JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (CBS12) \u2014 A 5-year-old boy’s solo breakfast adventure at a Chick-fil-A led to a heroic rescue by Jacksonville Sheriff’s officers.<\/p>\n
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) said that little William was found enjoying breakfast at the Chick-fil-A on San Jose Boulevard, happily mingling with the staff.<\/p>\n
JSO said that officers Kelly and Perri arrived and quickly learned that William had wandered off from home.<\/p>\n
After some detective work and a fun ride in a police car, William was able to identify his home. However, they encountered a challenge: the gate was locked. <\/p>\n
William had managed to squeeze through, but the officers could not.<\/p>\n
