{"id":197122,"date":"2025-09-03T15:20:12","date_gmt":"2025-09-03T15:20:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/197122\/"},"modified":"2025-09-03T15:20:12","modified_gmt":"2025-09-03T15:20:12","slug":"a-rebuilt-our-mother-of-consolation-parish-school-in-philadelphia-reopens-2-years-after-massive-fire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/197122\/","title":{"rendered":"A rebuilt Our Mother of Consolation Parish School in Philadelphia reopens 2 years after massive fire"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The first day of school is always exciting, but it&#8217;s doubly exciting for students, teachers and staff at Our Mother of Consolation Parish School in Chestnut Hill.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday morning, the Philadelphia Catholic school reopened after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/philadelphia\/news\/crews-battling-fire-at-philadelphia-catholic-school\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">a devastating fire destroyed the school two years ago<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>CBS News Philadelphia was there back in March 2023, when the previous school was destroyed by a three-alarm fire.<\/p>\n<p>The school had to temporarily move to Chestnut Hill College&#8217;s campus for the remainder of that school year and the following year while the school was rebuilt.<\/p>\n<p>      <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/philadelphia-catholic-school-reopens-after-2023-fire-consolation-parish.jpg#.jpeg\" alt=\"philadelphia-catholic-school-reopens-after-2023-fire-consolation-parish.jpg \" height=\"349\" width=\"620\" class=\" lazyload\"  loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                  Flames engulf the Our Mother of Consolation Parish School in this 2023 image.<\/p>\n<p>                Chopper 3\/CBS News Philadelphia<\/p>\n<p>Now, it is completely redone inside.<\/p>\n<p>Everything from the school&#8217;s layout, to spaces that will afford students new opportunities, including a cafeteria, an outdoor classroom and new innovation labs for STEM education.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s a homecoming, especially for the students who were here at the beginning and have been without their building for two years,&#8221; said Rev.
