Nike has \u201cmore to celebrate\u201d in women\u2019s basketball than men\u2019s basketball these days, as the focus on WNBAers is \u201cpart of a corporate turnaround<\/a>\u201d being overseen by CEO Elliott Hill, according to Randall Williams of BLOOMBERG NEWS. Liberty G Sabrina Ionescu<\/a>, Aces C A\u2019ja Wilson<\/a>, and\u202fFever G Caitlin Clark<\/a> have all signed deals with Nike that include signature shoes. Ionescu\u2019s first sneaker<\/a>, the Sabrina 1, was released in 2023. Her latest shoe, the Sabrina 2, is \u201cmore prevalent on the court\u201d than those from Rockets F Kevin Durant, T\u2019Wolves G Anthony Edwards, Lakers F LeBron James and Warriors G Steph Curry. The only shoe that is \u201cmore popular\u201d is Nike\u2019s Kobe 6 Protro. Wilson\u2019s first signature sneaker, the A\u2019One<\/a>, which was released in May, \u201csold out in minutes.\u201d Clark\u2019s shoe, which is \u201cslated to be released next spring,\u201d has been in development<\/a> \u201cfor months.\u201d A source said that Nike \u201cwants to release the sneaker shortly before\u201d the 2026 season starts in May. In the meantime, Clark is \u201cwearing a Kobe 5 Protro inspired by the red, blue and yellow colors\u201d of the Fever.
