Our region lacks one ingredient: an adequate sports venue that includes track and field. Such a venue in Chula Vista along with its amenities would position the city to host regional, national and international competitions from youth through professional levels. Establishing a facility capable of hosting events including track and field in Chula Vista must be a priority for city leaders.
