West Philly based singer-songwriter\u00a0Gretchen Elise is releasing a new single and video, \u201cRunning,\u201d with a cascade of local events:<\/p>\n

September 4, 5pm-8pm: Gretchen\u00a0Elise Music & Line Dance Party at the Trolley Portal Gardens, 40th & Baltimore Ave., Philadelphia.
\nHelp launch\u00a0Gretchen\u2019s new line dance to \u201cRunning\u201d at the Baltimore Ave. Dollar Stroll.\u00a0Gretchen\u00a0Elise and guests hosted by Boogie Mandela mix with line dance sets led by Melissa Talley Palmer. Free.<\/p>\n

September 5, 10 pm: Gretchen\u00a0Elise Interview on WRTI\u2019s The Bridge with J. Michael Harrison.

Gretchen\u00a0first self-produced \u201cRunning\u201d in LogicProX and worked with Merc Beatz to produce a fleshed out version including Rhodney Miller (bass) and West Philadelphia\u2019s own Jan Jeffries (percussion) and Irv Jean-Baptiste (guitar). The music video \u2013 a narrative short filmed in part at Bartram\u2019s Gardens \u2013 is a multipart collaboration with Director Demetrius \u201cMechie\u201d Hill of Supreme Cinema Six, 2-D animator Sean Tate, and West Philadelphia actor Carlo Campbell.<\/p>\n
