Commitment season is upon us, and\u00a0Collin Paul<\/a><\/b> is ready to get things rolling.<\/p>\n

The 6-foot-7 small forward out of West Palm Beach (Fla.) and the SOH Elite (UAA) program will announce his college decision live on the new CBS Sports College Basketball YouTube channel<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Paul ranks as the No. 76 overall recruit in the country<\/a>, and the versatile wing will make his decision on Wednesday, Sept. 3 at 7:00 pm ET.<\/p>\n

Paul has received offers from all over the country, including DePaul<\/a><\/b>, Ole Miss<\/a><\/b>, Seton Hall<\/a><\/b>, Florida State<\/a><\/b>, Virginia Tech<\/a><\/b>, Loyola<\/a><\/b>, Georgetown<\/a><\/b>, Miami<\/a><\/b>, Mississippi State<\/a><\/b>, and many others.<\/p>\n

Paul has completed two official visits to Florida State and Loyola (Chicago) and is ready to make his decision.<\/p>\n

Paul is a versatile wing with length who is a unique playmaking forward with the ability to push a break, slash, and create for others. His size and length give him two-way versatility and upside as he continues to evolve his frame and improve his jumper.<\/p>\n

Playing with SOH Elite this spring, Paul averaged 16.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1,9 steals, and 1.1 blocks.<\/p>\n

Paul is a point forward type and jumbo initiator. At 6-foot-7-plus with a long 7-foot wingspan and naturally thicker build, he’s an extremely fluid handler and good passer for his size. He can take the ball off the glass to start the break himself, advance it up the floor with the dribble, and then create for himself and others in the half-court (3.8 assists vs. 2.5 turnovers in 8 UAA games). He can string together combo moves, has a good floater game, and is nearly ambidextrous from 8-10 feet in, as well as with his passing. He also has excellent natural hands, so while he isn’t an overly explosive vertical athlete and needs to get more comfortable playing through contact in the lane, he compensates by being a very quick finisher.<\/p>\n

The fit at the next level is going to be very important, because Paul needs the ball in his hands to be effective right now, as well as specific types of defensive match-ups. He’s a capable shooter off the dribble, but very reluctant and inconsistent off the catch (55% FT & 23% 3pt). Defensively, he shows spurts of using his length, but is best defending slower-footed fours at this point.
