singles draw, fighting for the title.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One of Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, Lorenzo Musetti, Alex de Minaur, or Felix Auger-Aliassime will lift the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/us-open\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">US Open<\/a> title on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Winning their quarterfinal matches, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/novak-djokovic-provides-update-on-his-fitness-levels-ahead-of-his-us-open-semifinal-with-carlos-alcaraz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alcaraz and Djokovic advanced to the semis<\/a> on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"638\" loading=\"lazy\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/jannik-sinner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sinner<\/a> and Musetti.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s plenty to look forward to at Flushing Meadows, although one former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/davis-cup\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Davis Cup<\/a> champion hasn\u2019t been too impressed with the quality shown at this year\u2019s tournament.<\/p>\n<p>Paolo Bertolucci says the level at the 2025 US Open \u2018isn\u2019t very high\u2019 compared to previous years<\/p>\n<p>During the latest episode of \u2018La Telefonata\u2019, 1976 Davis Cup champion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/paolo-bertolucci\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paolo Bertolucci<\/a> gave his verdict on the level at this year\u2019s US Open.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ll tell you my opinion, though: honestly, the level of the US Open this year isn\u2019t very high,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you take away those two aliens [Jannik] Sinner and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/carlos-alcaraz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">[Carlos] Alcaraz<\/a>, the level behind is low for both the men\u2019s and women\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnce upon a time, in addition to those four phenomena of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/roger-federer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">[Roger] Federer<\/a>, [Rafael] Nadal, [Novak] Djokovic, and [Andy] Murray, you had others who pushed so hard and were talented and of a high level.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday, however, you struggle to get to four.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bertolucci may have a point, as during the era of the \u2018Big Three\u2019, the likes of Andy Murray, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/stan-wawrinka\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stan Wawrinka<\/a>, David Ferrer, and Juan Marin del Potro all found themselves making deep runs at major tournaments on a regular basis.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" loading=\"lazy\" Alcaraz, Sinner, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/novak-djokovic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Novak Djokovic<\/a>, each of the seven other top-ten players has suffered many have been left questioning whether anyone can put an end to their reign of Grand Slam dominance.<\/p>\n<p>The Grand Slam dominance of the \u2018new\u2019 Big Three<\/p>\n<p>Alcaraz, Sinner, and Djokovic have shared the previous 13 major titles between themselves, a run that stretches back to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/wimbledon\/\" target=\"_blank\" multiple major finals since 2022, but none of the trio emerged victorious [0-6].<\/p>\n<p>Of the players remaining in this year\u2019s US Open draw, few are backing Auger-Aliassime, Musetti, or De Minaur to pick up the title, so who else is out there who can disrupt the status quo on the ATP Tour?<\/p>\n<p>Some fans have high hopes for Brazilian teenager <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/joao-fonseca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Joao Fonseca<\/a>, who has picked up several memorable Grand Slam wins this year, defeating Andrey Rublev in Melbourne and Hubert Hurkacz in Paris.<\/p>\n<p>The likelihood is, however, that the 19-year-old is still a few years away from challenging the very best players in the men\u2019s game week in, week out.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, tennis fans could become used to seeing Sinner, Alcaraz, and Djokovic continue to pick up Grand Slam titles at will for the foreseeable
