The Wisconsin Badgers<\/a> are building up quite the non-conference schedule ahead of the 2025 season, with a couple of games still yet to be figured out. However, one matchup that has been set is the annual I-94 rivalry contest against the Marquette Golden Eagles<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Wisconsin announced that it\u2019ll host Marquette on December 6th at the Kohl Center on Friday. It will be the 17th-overall rendition of the I-94 rivalry, with the Badgers currently holding a 9-7 record overall.<\/p>\n

The Badgers lost the matchup last year in an 88-74 game at the Fiserv Forum, which was only their second loss of the season after an 8-1 start. They hold a 5-3 record at the Kohl Center, and had won the previous three games of the series, with two of those coming in Madison.<\/p>\n

Both teams will look fairly different in 2025, as Wisconsin lost 10 players from its 2024 roster, including six seniors. That also includes star guard John Tonje, who will likely be selected in next week\u2019s 2025 NBA Draft<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Marquette is losing star Kam Jones, who was the heartbeat of the team\u2019s offense last season. So, it\u2019ll be a new era in the state of Wisconsin, and this rivalry matchup should be a fun one in early December.<\/p>\n

It will take place on a Saturday, and adds another intriguing game to Wisconsin\u2019s non-conference schedule.<\/p>\n

The Badgers are already taking on the BYU Cougars<\/a>, Villanova Wildcats<\/a>, and Providence Friars as a part of their non-conference schedule. They\u2019ll also face off against one of the TCU Horned Frogs<\/a> or the Florida Gators as the second game of the 2025 Rady Children\u2019s Invitational in San Diego.<\/p>\n

Not to mention, the team has an exhibition matchup against the Oklahoma Sooners<\/a> in late October as well.
