The prequel television series \u201cWelcome to Derry<\/strong><\/a>\u201d is premiering this October on HBO Max, and Warner Bros. has announced that they\u2019ll be re-releasing Andy Muschietti\u2019s box office hit IT: Chapter One <\/strong>in theaters to keep you company while you wait for Pennywise\u2019s return.<\/p>\n

IT: Chapter One (2017) is coming back to the big screen at Dolby Cinema at AMC Theatres on September 24<\/strong>, and the re-release features a sneak peek at HBO Max\u2019s \u201cWelcome to Derry.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIT: Welcome to Derry\u201d will premiere\u00a0October 26<\/strong>\u00a0on HBO Max.<\/p>\n

Serving as a prequel to\u00a0Andy Muschietti\u2019s\u00a0IT\u00a0films and based on Mike Hanlon\u2019s historical interludes from the\u00a0Stephen King<\/strong>\u00a0novel, the nine-episode series is set in 1962.<\/p>\n

Muschietti, who directs multiple episodes of the show, has teased that second and third seasons, if ordered by HBO, would take place in 1935 and 1908, respectively.<\/p>\n

Bill Skarsg\u00e5rd<\/strong>\u00a0returns as Pennywise the Clown, starring alongside\u00a0Taylour Paige\u00a0<\/strong>(The Toxic Avenger),\u00a0Jovan Adepo\u00a0<\/strong>(\u201cThe Stand\u201d),\u00a0Chris Chalk\u00a0<\/strong>(\u201cGotham\u201d),\u00a0James Remar<\/strong>\u00a0(\u201cDexter\u201d),\u00a0Madeleine Stowe<\/strong>\u00a0(\u201cRevenge\u201d), and\u00a0Stephen Rider<\/strong>\u00a0(\u201cDaredevil\u201d).<\/p>\n
