{"id":199082,"date":"2025-09-04T08:27:12","date_gmt":"2025-09-04T08:27:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/199082\/"},"modified":"2025-09-04T08:27:12","modified_gmt":"2025-09-04T08:27:12","slug":"stephen-miller-attacks-stephen-colbert-as-a-sleazy-smarmy-guy-on-fox-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/199082\/","title":{"rendered":"Stephen Miller Attacks Stephen Colbert as a \u2018Sleazy, Smarmy Guy\u2019 on Fox News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Stephen Miller has lashed out at Late Show host Stephen Colbert, calling him a \u201cslimeball\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Appearing on Fox News\u2019 Hannity on Wednesday night, the senior adviser to President Donald Trump railed against Colbert and his fellow late show hosts, including Jimmy Kimmel, and their continued opposition to the Trump administration.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cStephen Colbert is a slimeball. The guy\u2019s disgusting,\u201d Miller told host Sean Hannity.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/OCYRTX4JAJFGRKXFZNCYVYRWYQ.jpg\"  width=\"800\" height=\"533\"\/>Stephen Colbert has long been critical of President Donald Trump, not backing down after CBS canceled his show in a move many decried as politically motivated. CBS Photo Archive via Getty Images <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">He continued, \u201cHe has no talent, he is not liked. Obviously, he was fired for a reason. He is just a sleazy, disgusting, smarmy guy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cIt takes a lot to make me really despise somebody,\u201d he added, before backtracking to say, \u201cMaybe it doesn\u2019t, I don\u2019t know. But Colbert is really a horrible person.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Miller was responding to Colbert\u2019s monologue about the rumors that flooded social media over Labor Day weekend that the president had died.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">When Colbert told his audience that \u201cDonald Trump is very much alive,\u201d the crowd responded by booing. Colbert chastised them, saying, through a smile, \u201cWe like our presidents alive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Hannity and Miller both took offense, with Hannity claiming that Colbert was undoubtedly looking for that exact response from his audience.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"President Donald Trump checks his phone on August 31, 2025 in Washington, DC. Tasos Katopodis\/Getty Images <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Hannity also argued that Kimmel, who likened Trump to Dracula in that he\u2019ll live forever, \u201cknows his show is officially on cancellation watch\u201d and is \u201cdoubling down on his Trump hatred\u201d in an effort to get views.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Colbert\u2019s Late Show was <a onclick=\"_sendArticleBodyInlineLinkClickAnalytics(&#039;https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/cbs-blindsides-colbert-by-canceling-late-show\/&#039;)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/cbs-blindsides-colbert-by-canceling-late-show\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/cbs-blindsides-colbert-by-canceling-late-show\/\">canceled<\/a> last month, and will air its final show in May 2026. The move came after CBS\u2019s parent company, Paramount, <a onclick=\"_sendArticleBodyInlineLinkClickAnalytics(&#039;https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/trump-gets-paramount-to-cough-up-millions-to-end-60-minutes-suit\/&#039;)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/trump-gets-paramount-to-cough-up-millions-to-end-60-minutes-suit\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/trump-gets-paramount-to-cough-up-millions-to-end-60-minutes-suit\/\">settled a $16 million lawsuit<\/a> with the Trump administration, something Colbert described on his show as a \u201cbig fat bribe.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Despite the fact that Colbert talks about politicians for a living, Hannity complained that there was \u201cno human being alive who lives rent-free in more people\u2019s heads than Donald J. They will never regain the trust of the American people, nor should they, and no matter how hard they try, they are not going to recover,\u201d Hannity said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cThey can\u2019t beat Trump and they know it.
