It continues: \u201cWhile Clinton thought Anna would have been a great ambassador, and nominating her was a possibility, she hadn\u2019t begun a formal process for filling those positions, an advisor said. It was unclear to both the campaign and Anna\u2019s boss that she had serious interest in it.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tWintour has never been shy about her support for Clinton, even profiling the First Lady six times in Vogue<\/a>. In 2016, Wintour led Vogue to make its first-ever political endorsement in the magazine\u2019s 124-year history, supporting Clinton\u2019s campaign. The decision drew significant backlash from media outlets and members of Wintour\u2019s inner circle.
