Dr. Rhine is replacing Mohave Community College President Dr. Stacy Klippenstein.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Rhine, the tenth president of Yavapai College, has over 36 years of leadership experience in colleges and universities in Ohio, Kentucky, Virginia and Arizona. Dr. Rhine serves on numerous local, regional and national commissions, task forces and boards including service on the Commission on Economic and Workforce Development for the American Association of Community Colleges and the Presidential liaison for the state of Arizona to the American Council on Education Women\u2019s Network.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Arizona Commerce Authority is a vital organization to help grow and strengthen our economy in Arizona, and I am honored to be named to the Board of Directors,\u201d Dr. Rhine said. \u201cYavapai College and the network of community colleges throughout the state have a significant positive impact on Arizona\u2019s economy by providing education and training for several industries.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>ACA uses a three-pronged approach to advance the overall economy: recruit, grow, create \u2013 recruit out-of-state companies to expand their operations in Arizona; work with existing companies to grow their business in Arizona and beyond; and partner with entrepreneurs and companies large and small to create new jobs and businesses in targeted industries.<\/p>\n<p>The ACA is overseen by a prestigious public-private sector board of directors bringing together industry, academia and government. Chaired by Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs, the board is comprised of the state\u2019s most prominent private-sector business leaders, university and community college presidents, and elected officials.<\/p>\n<p>The ACA\u2019s executive management team drives the organization\u2019s day-to-day operations, ensuring it maintains focus on the recruitment of quality companies and jobs to the state of Arizona. This team brings together the best and brightest in economic development, management and communications.<\/p>\n<p>The Arizona Community College Coordinating Council works to raise the visibility and understanding of the significant impact of community colleges, provides strong legislative and public advocacy and advances shared initiatives through the Arizona Center for Community College Success, strategic partnerships, and its various committee initiatives.
