The new transportation system will reach up to 218 mph and will significantly reduce the time travelers spend reaching these two main hubs. Still, <strong>the train won\u2019t stop at <a href=\"https:\/\/secretlosangeles.com\/los-angeles-union-station-is-1-of-8-most-stunning-train-stations-in-us\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_self\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/secretlosangeles.com\/los-angeles-union-station-is-1-of-8-most-stunning-train-stations-in-us\/\" data-action=\"text_cta_1\" data-category=\"click_internal\">Union Station.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to information published on the company\u2019s project overview website, the bullet train route will consist of just four stops: <strong>Las Vegas, Victory Alley, Hesperia, and Rancho Cucamonga.<\/strong> But wait, isn\u2019t it supposed to connect L.A.?<\/p>\n<p>Rancho Cucamonga will serve as the southern terminus of the Brightline West bullet train for now. While the train won\u2019t reach Union Station directly, passengers will eventually <strong>transfer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/secretlosangeles.com\/metrolink-new-discounted-fares\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_self\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/secretlosangeles.com\/metrolink-new-discounted-fares\/\" data-action=\"text_cta_2\" data-category=\"click_internal\">Metrolink<\/a><\/strong> commuter rail system at Rancho Cucamonga to reach L.A. and other SoCal cities. The station will act as a key regional hub, providing connections to multiple metro lines that <strong>link to <a href=\"https:\/\/secretlosangeles.com\/things-to-do-downtown-la\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_self\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/secretlosangeles.com\/things-to-do-downtown-la\/\" data-action=\"text_cta_3\" data-category=\"click_internal\">downtown L.A.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p> <img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-92258 size-full\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=\" http:=\"\" alt=\"LA-vegas bullet train_route map\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" data-lazy- data-lazy- data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/LA-vegas-bullet-train_route-map.jpg\"\/>Via Brightline West. <\/p>\n<p>Still, future plans for Brightline West <strong>may extend service further west,<\/strong> potentially providing a more direct connection to Los Angeles, but in the first phase, Rancho Cucamonga will be the main gateway for travelers coming from Vegas.<\/p>\n<p>Once finished, Brightline\u2019s bullet train <strong>will reach up to 218 mph, averaging 186 mph,<\/strong> and carry 434\u2013450 passengers per trip, with annual ridership projected at around 9 million. It will be the fastest train in the U.S. and the first officially recognized as high-speed by the International Union of Railways, which requires a minimum speed of 155 mph. <strong>Completion is expected in December 2028.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Via Brightline West.
