{"id":200026,"date":"2025-09-04T16:54:22","date_gmt":"2025-09-04T16:54:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/200026\/"},"modified":"2025-09-04T16:54:22","modified_gmt":"2025-09-04T16:54:22","slug":"widening-project-to-begin-for-loop-101-to-sr-51-ramp-in-phx","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/200026\/","title":{"rendered":"Widening project to begin for Loop 101 to SR 51 ramp in PHX"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PHOENIX \u2014 Transportation officials are kicking off a widening project for a busy connection between the Loop 101 Pima Freeway and State Route 51 in north Phoenix on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>To officially start the project, the <a href=\"https:\/\/azdot.gov\/news\/eastbound-loop-101-ramp-sr-51-closed-thursday-night-sept-4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Arizona Department of Transportation<\/a> (ADOT) said the ramp from the eastbound Loop 101 to SR 51 will be closed from 10 p.m. on Thursday to 5 a.m. on Friday.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Eastbound Loop 101 ramp to SR 51 closed Thursday night (Sept 4)<\/p>\n<p>MORE: <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/OdPfvLTAWR\" rel=\"nofollow\">https:\/\/t.co\/OdPfvLTAWR<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/VwsPzdifLD\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/VwsPzdifLD<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Arizona DOT (@ArizonaDOT) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ArizonaDOT\/status\/1963299818261848295?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">September 3, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This closure will allow crews to create the work zone for the project.<\/p>\n<p>ADOT said drivers can get around the closure by getting off Loop 101 at either Cave Creek Road or Tatum Boulevard and then going south to Union Hills Drive, which can be used to access SR 51.<\/p>\n<p>Details on Loop 101-SR 51 ramp widening project in north Phoenix<\/p>\n<p>The widening project will cost $3.6 million and is expected to be completed next summer, according to ADOT.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the project, a second lane will be added to both the ramp that goes from the eastbound Loop 101 to SR 51 and the exit that leads to the ramp.
