Various showtimes.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/goldenglobes.com\/person\/robert-altman\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Golden Globe winner<\/a> Lili Taylor \u2014 known for \u201cSix Feet Under\u201d and \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=dPTjoWux9-Y\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">American Crime<\/a>\u201d \u2014 is bringing visual artist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suzannebocanegra.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Suzanne Bocanegra<\/a>\u2019s acclaimed work, \u201cHonor, an Artist Lecture,\u201d to the city for its first-ever multi-night run after playing across the country since 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Internationally renowned for large scale installation art, sculpture and performance pieces (some featuring actors such as Frances McDormand, <a href=\"https:\/\/tdm.fas.harvard.edu\/people\/paul-lazar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paul Lazar<\/a> and<a href=\"https:\/\/nyuskirball.org\/events\/suzanne-bocanegra-ruth-negga-bodycast\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Ruth Negga<\/a>), Bocanegra has accidentally turned what she once referred to as \u201cone of those typical artist slide lectures\u201d into a brilliant work of art after MoMA <a href=\"https:\/\/www.moma.org\/docs\/press_archives\/7348\/releases\/MOMA_1995_0028_25.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">film curator Larry Kardish<\/a> asked her to do a lecture in 2009 about a piece of art in their collection.<\/p>\n<p>With \u201cHonor,\u201d she has woven her own personal narrative and infatuation about one of The Met\u2019s colossal 16th-century tapestries (of the same title) into a stage work. In it, Taylor uses the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.metmuseum.org\/art\/collection\/search\/670103\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">15 ft. x 26 ft. Bernard van Orley textile<\/a> to bring life to the personal stories of nearly 70 historical and allegorical figures about honor and dishonor. It\u2019s a lot of fat for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.televisionacademy.com\/bios\/lili-taylor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">three-time Emmy nominated<\/a> actress \u2014 and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.audubon.org\/partnerships\/turning-birds-lili-taylor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new author<\/a> \u2014 to chew on. Various times.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Daily Show\u201d breakout <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jaboukie.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jaboukie Young-White<\/a> is back on the big screen in \u201cThe Threesome,\u201d starring Zoey Deutch, Jonah Hauer-King and Ruby Cruz, with scene-stealing appearances from<a href=\"https:\/\/www.menshealth.com\/style\/a42084990\/josh-segarra-big-door-prize-interview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Josh Segarra<\/a>, Robert Longstreet and \u201cSNL\u201d alum <a href=\"https:\/\/juliasweeney.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Julia Sweeney<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>And although the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.advocate.com\/music\/jaboukie-young-white-music\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">openly gay comedian and musician<\/a> doesn\u2019t get in on the m\u00e9nage a trois action, his bartender character plays a pivotal role in director Chad Hartigan\u2019s romantic dramedy about the ups and downs of polyamorous relationships.<\/p>\n<p>Hauer-King, of Disney\u2019s \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=P-S_u-mPGIo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Little Mermaid<\/a>\u201d fame, portrays Connor \u2014 who finds himself in quite the quandary when his threesome partners both end up pregnant. Sept. 5, 7 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In-demand drummer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jamesbiscuitrouse.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">James \u201cBiscuit\u201d Rouse<\/a> will pay homage to one of his musical heroes with a jam session befitting the late musician who played with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimihendrix.com\/editorial\/message-to-love-a-brief-history-of-the-band-of-gypsys\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jimi Hendrix\u2019s Band of Gypsys<\/a>, fronted the Electric Flag band and also served as the voice of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/archives\/la-xpm-2008-feb-28-me-miles28-story.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">California Raisins<\/a> in the 1980s.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/buddymiles.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Buddy Miles<\/a>, singer of the 1970s R&amp;B hit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=8I9s9HUFp2k\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cThem Changes,\u201d<\/a> died in 2008 at age 60.
