\n\tParamount Pictures and Legendary<\/a> Entertainment have closed a deal for a new multi-year worldwide film distribution pact. Under the deal, Paramount will market and distribute Legendary-developed and -produced theatrical films globally, excluding China, where Legendary East handles all marketing and distribution activities.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tLegendary\u2019s first film within the distribution deal will be\u00a0Street Fighter<\/a>, co-produced by Capcom. The film is currently\u00a0in production and is based on the hugely popular and successful video game franchise. Filmed\u00a0for Imax,\u00a0Street Fighter\u00a0will be released in theaters on\u00a0October 16, 2026.<\/p>\n

\n\tDeadline broke the news<\/a> last month that the studio was in talks with Legendary for a new distribution deal, with sources saying at the time that initial talks had begun this spring prior to the Skydance<\/a>-Paramount merger closing in August.<\/p>\n

\n\tJosh Greenstein, Co-Chair of Paramount Pictures and Vice Chair of Platforms, and Dana Goldberg, Co-Chair of Paramount Pictures and Chair of Paramount Television, said: \u201cLegendary has built a reputation for ambitious, globally appealing films, and we\u2019re excited to be partnering with them.\u00a0Street Fighter\u00a0is the perfect start to our collaboration, which we believe will be strong and lasting.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWarner Bros. will continue to distribute select Legendary franchises including the upcoming\u00a0Dune: Part Three,\u00a0currently in production and slated for release in 2026, as well as\u00a0Godzilla x Kong: Supernova,\u00a0slated for release in 2027, and others.\u00a0<\/p>\n
