{"id":200617,"date":"2025-09-04T21:59:08","date_gmt":"2025-09-04T21:59:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/200617\/"},"modified":"2025-09-04T21:59:08","modified_gmt":"2025-09-04T21:59:08","slug":"judge-blocks-septa-from-making-more-service-cuts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/200617\/","title":{"rendered":"Judge blocks SEPTA from making more service cuts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-uri=\"www.audacy.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmf5q8cne000x01vzobbjly0e@published\" data-editable=\"text\" class=\"paragraph paragraph--station\">PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) \u2014 A Common Pleas judge has blocked SEPTA from making more service cuts.<\/p>\n<p data-uri=\"www.audacy.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmf5xqksp001z357tmkd1p4y5@published\" data-editable=\"text\" class=\"paragraph paragraph--station\">The decision came through Thursday evening after a hearing on whether to continue a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.audacy.com\/kywnewsradio\/news\/local\/philly-judge-orders-septa-to-stop-any-further-service-cuts\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">temporary injunction issued Friday<\/a> by Judge Sierra Thomas Street.<\/p>\n<p data-uri=\"www.audacy.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmf5xqkui0020357tn6xnoa63@published\" data-editable=\"text\" class=\"paragraph paragraph--station\">The lawsuit, filed by Attorney George Bochetto, claimed SEPTA manufactured its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.audacy.com\/kywnewsradio\/news\/local\/septa-readies-to-slash-service-over-the-next-10-days\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">budget crisis<\/a> to get more state money, and that the service cuts unfairly target minorities and the poor.
