{"id":200934,"date":"2025-09-05T00:39:19","date_gmt":"2025-09-05T00:39:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/200934\/"},"modified":"2025-09-05T00:39:19","modified_gmt":"2025-09-05T00:39:19","slug":"la-city-shelters-are-looking-for-families-to-adopt-big-dogs-and-grown-up-kitties-daily-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/200934\/","title":{"rendered":"LA city shelters are looking for families to adopt big dogs and grown-up kitties \u2013 Daily News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Los Angeles Animal Services is partnering with the Paula Kent Meehan Pet Care Foundation to offer waived adoption fees for some dogs and cats during the Big Dogs and Grown-up Kitties Adoption Event happening now and until September 30.<\/p>\n<p>There are more than 1,700 animals in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailynews.com\/2025\/05\/01\/919-dogs-at-la-animal-shelters-is-too-many-and-city-is-cutting-adoption-fees-in-half-on-weekends\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">six Los Angeles City shelters<\/a>. \u201cWith our six shelters operating at over capacity, we urge the community to adopt or foster and give an amazing pet a second chance at being a part of a loving home,\u201d Annette G.
