The Soho sanctuary of top broker Steve Gold, known for his roles on Netflix\u2019s \u201cSelling New York\u201d and Bravo\u2019s \u201cMillion Dollar Listing New York,\u201d is back on the market for $9.99 million \u2014 down from its\u00a0$10.8 million ask last year<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The three-bedroom, 3.5-bath loft is in a charming cast-iron and brick building that dates to 1920 at 22 Wooster St.\u00a0<\/p>\n

At 3,400 square feet, the full-floor residence is also available as a $49,000-per-month rental starting in November, when the current renter will be out, Gold said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I love most is the light. It\u2019s really rare to get a really bright loft. But this one has three exposures and five skylights. You can walk through the entire loft and not need to turn on a light because there is so much natural sunlight and there are so many windows \u2014 even in the laundry room and bath,\u201d he told Gimme Shelter.<\/p>\n

The focus of the nest is an open great room with a chef\u2019s kitchen, and a dining and entertaining area. The gut-renovated spread opens from a key-locked elevator. New details include 16-inch wide oak plank floors from Denmark, 14 new windows, Italian stone and custom Venetian plasterwork\u00a0by artist Benjamin Lai.<\/p>\n

A rounded alcove off the great room is currently configured as a TV nook, but could also be a spot to add stairs to the roof, which could be purchased separately from the building.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI built this for myself and my family and always imagined putting in a spiral staircase through the skylight that would lead to the roof. But plans change with kids, and schools, and my wife also had her own ideas,\u201d Gold said.<\/p>\n

If one kitchen isn\u2019t enough, there\u2019s also a second kitchen with dual ovens, a warming drawer and a wine cooler that is hidden behind pocket doors.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe love entertaining and we had a lot of parties here. What\u2019s great is that people can gather in the kitchen while the second kitchen can be used for prep,\u201d Gold said.<\/p>\n

In addition, there\u2019s a small home office off the great room framed by a large arched window. A wide hallway leads to the main bedroom suite, which has two large windows, dual walk-in closets \u2014 one is 18 feet tall and comes with a rare city perk.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe built this for our growing family and there is lots of hidden storage \u2014 we went overboard with it,\u201d Gold said. <\/p>\n

\u00a0The 13-unit building is between Grand and Canal streets.<\/p>\n

Gold, natch, is the listing broker. He\u2019s with the Corcoran Group.<\/p>\n
