{"id":201635,"date":"2025-09-05T06:44:10","date_gmt":"2025-09-05T06:44:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/201635\/"},"modified":"2025-09-05T06:44:10","modified_gmt":"2025-09-05T06:44:10","slug":"woman-killed-in-east-fort-worth-shooting-identified","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/201635\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman killed in east Fort Worth shooting identified"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">A 21-year-old woman who was found dead by police in an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/news\/crime\/2025\/08\/30\/woman-fatally-shot-in-east-fort-worth-police-say\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/news\/crime\/2025\/08\/30\/woman-fatally-shot-in-east-fort-worth-police-say\/\">east Fort Worth home<\/a> Saturday has been identified.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Glenda Maria Aguilera Rubio, 21, died around 7:25 a.m. Saturday at a home in the 2600 block of Yeager Street, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner\u2019s office.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Officers were called to the home for a reported stabbing, police said in a release. When officers arrived, they instead found Rubio lying on a bed in the kitchen with a gunshot wound to the head, police said in an arrest-warrant affidavit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Josue Bayardo Rodas, 29, was later arrested in connection to Rubio\u2018s death, police said. <\/p>\n<p>Crime in The News<\/p>\n<p class=\"dmnc_features-cta-social-article-cta-social-module__3beff secondaryRoman secondaryRoman-20 text-center text-gray-dark\">Read the crime and public safety news your neighbors are talking about.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dmnc_features-cta-social-article-cta-social-module__8MgJa flex flex-wrap text-gray-dark secondaryRoman secondaryRoman-20 text-center justify-center\">By signing up, you agree to our\u00a0<a class=\"dmnc_features-cta-social-article-cta-social-module__lU9-l border-b border-gray-dark hover_border-0 focus_border-0 active_border-0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/help\/terms-of-service\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Terms of Service<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a class=\"dmnc_features-cta-social-article-cta-social-module__lU9-l border-b border-gray-dark hover_border-0 focus_border-0 active_border-0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/help\/privacy-policy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Privacy Policy.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Rodas and Rubio described themselves as husband and wife, but officers have not confirmed if they were married, according to Bradley Perez, a spokesman for the Fort Worth Police Department.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Rodas, Rubio and her two children were staying at the home on Yeager Street, according to the affidavit. <\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Officers learned from other witnesses in the home that Rubio\u2019s children found their mother in the kitchen with blood on her and then told a woman in the home, according to an affidavit. <\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">After the woman saw Rubio, she noticed the home\u2019s front door was open and Rubio\u2019s car and Rodas were gone. <\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Around 9 a.m. Saturday, Rodas called 911 from Sweetwater, more than 190 miles away from Fort Worth, according to the affidavit.
