While his team, Legacy Motor Club, has experienced a fair share of struggle, it\u2019s been more than just dark days for the organization, especially in the current season.<\/p>\n
When Erik Jones, one of the team\u2019s drivers, recently posted about his run in the current season, Johnson supported him and had high victory aspirations.<\/p>\n

Jones, who started the season with a top-five finish at Daytona, managed a handful of other impressive finishes throughout the season. However, despite all his efforts, the No. 43 Toyota never made it into the victory lane.<\/p>\n
His best numbers of the season came at North Wilkesboro Speedway, when he grabbed the fourth spot in the All-Star Open race. Although Jones could not qualify for the playoffs in the postseason, it did not stop him from performing at his highest potential.<\/p>\n
According to the Optimal Lap Model, Jones came in third on the grid after starting 19th, but his No. 43 Toyota reigned at Darlington<\/a>. When Jones learned about these figures, he was stunned and geared up for the upcoming contest.<\/p>\n Despite his inability to secure a win, Jones has been fairly impressive this season. And a particular area where Jones has not lacked the slightest is speed.<\/p>\n
