\u201cI gotta say, Health and Human Services is a bit of an odd title for him,\u201d Colbert said. \u201cBecause he looks neither healthy nor human.\u201d <\/p>\n

He rolled footage from the hearing during which Kennedy\u2019s labored breathing could be heard as lawmakers spoke. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve never heard someone have sleep apnea while they\u2019re still awake,\u201d Colbert said. <\/p>\n

As Colbert pointed out, it wasn\u2019t just Democrats<\/a> holding Kennedy\u2019s feet to the fire. A number of GOP lawmakers<\/a> also put him on blast. <\/p>\n

\u201cI support vaccines. I\u2019m a doctor. Vaccines work,\u201d said Sen. John Barrasso<\/a> (R-Wyo.), who is a physician.<\/p>\n

But Colbert spotted an immediate problem with Barrasso\u2019s outrage: Earlier this year, he voted to confirm Kennedy, who was already widely known for his extremist views on vaccines and other health issues. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m no doctor, but your results are in,\u201d Colbert said. \u201cAnd you just tested positive for bullshit.\u201d <\/p>\n
