Do not approach the bison\u2026 try to keep back at least 25 yards!!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">As mentioned in the post, it is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/yell\/planyourvisit\/safety.htm#:~:text=Never%20approach%20wildlife&amp;text=The%20safest%20(and%20often%20best,animals%2C%20including%20bison%20and%20elk.\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:against the rules;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">against the rules<\/a> in Yellowstone to get within 25 yards of a bison or other large animals. Bison can be aggressive and charge without warning, especially when threatened, and have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/yell\/learn\/news\/25002.htm\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:injured more people;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">injured more people<\/a> in Yellowstone than any other animal. It&#8217;s recommended to view them from your car, along the road, or with binoculars to always maintain a safe distance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">These incidents also endanger wildlife, as animals provoked into aggressive behavior may be euthanized.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">We need to respect wildlife, especially endangered species, as they all play crucial roles in their ecosystem and contribute to biodiversity that protects us in return with a cleaner, safer future filled with diverse food and resources that they help sustain.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Bison, in particular, play a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/articles\/bison-impacts-and-monitoring.htm#:~:text=Effects%20of%20bison%20occur%20on,a%20size%20that%20is%20sustainable.\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:vital role;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">vital role<\/a> in their ecosystem as engineers and grazers of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/yell\/learn\/nature\/bison.htm#:~:text=Yellowstone%20bison%20are%20exceptional%20because,and%20objectives%20to%20the%20debate.\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Yellowstone;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Yellowstone<\/a>.
