PHOENIX \u2014 HonorHealth, one of the largest nonprofit health care systems in Arizona, announced Tuesday that it has reached an agreement to acquire Evernorth Care Group.<\/p>\n

Evernorth Care Group<\/a>, which operates 18 metro Phoenix primary care clinics, currently serves as the medical practice division of Cigna HealthCare of Arizona. <\/p>\n

HonorHealth<\/a> already has over 200 primary, specialist and urgent care locations along with nine acute care hospitals. It will take over Evernorth Care Group\u2019s clinics, which serve nearly 80,000 patients, after the deal closes.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis acquisition enhances the services we offer and expands Valley residents\u2019 access to care,\u201d HonorHealth CEO Todd LaPorte said in a press release<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Terms of the sale were not released. The acquisition is expected to be completed by January 2026.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe remain deeply committed to quality care, and we\u2019re dedicated to ensuring a smooth transition for both patients and our care team,\u201d Matt Totterdale, president of Evernorth Care Group, said in the release.<\/p>\n
