(You can claim as early as age 62. Doing so means you&#8217;ll collect smaller checks, but many more of them.)<\/li>\n<li>Some retirees collect bigger checks because they <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/money\/personalfinance\/retirement\/2022\/07\/31\/delaying-retirement-upsides\/50540669\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">delayed retiring<\/a> (which can be a financially powerful move).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Overall, the numbers are simply not that big.
