Uncle Buck\u2019s Boobie Bungalow recently got the kind of publicity money can\u2019t buy, thanks to comedian Theo Von<\/a>\u2019s popular podcast \u201cThis Past Weekend.\u201d <\/p>\n

On the podcast\u2019s August 28 episode<\/a>, Von interviewed country star Lainey Wilson<\/a>. She was there to promote the deluxe edition of \u201cWhirlwind,\u201d her latest album.<\/p>\n

Von and Wilson are both Louisiana natives now residing in Nashville. During the interview, they talked about Wilson\u2019s music, Wilson competing in beauty pageants growing up, and her engagement to former NFL and Samford University quarterback Devlin Hodges<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Wilson is known for hits like \u201c4x4xU,\u201d \u201cHeart Like A Truck\u201d and \u201cWatermelon Moonshine.\u201d She\u2019s also collaborated with top rock bands like the Rolling Stones<\/a>, a live cover of Stones classic \u201cDead Flowers,\u201d <\/a>and the Black Crowes<\/a>, duetting with frontman Chris Robinson<\/a> on Crowes single \u201cWilted Rose.\u201d<\/a> <\/p>\n

Around 35 minutes into the Wilson chat, Von asked his team to pose a question to A.I. powered search engine Perplexity: \u201cwhat are some take titles of songs lainey wilson could sing\u201d? <\/p>\n

The A.I. generated funny possibilities. Those included, \u201cWhiskey on a Wednesday,\u201d \u201cRoadside Halo,\u201d \u201cPickup Truck Confessions,\u201d Bellbottom Strange,\u201d \u201cMason Jar Miracles\u201d and \u201cKissed By Kudzu.\u201d<\/p>\n

One, \u201cTwang in My Bones,\u201d even had Wilson coming up with and singing an off-the-cuff hook for that hypothetical song.<\/p>\n

Von, whose interviews are homespun yet deftly instinctual, then asked his team to ask Perplexity \u201cwhat are some goofier ones\u201d? The A.I. didn\u2019t disappoint. It came back with titles like \u201cHonky Tonk Hiccups\u201d and \u201cLasso My Latte.\u201d Von and Wilson had a good laugh.<\/p>\n

Scanning down the list, shown onscreen on the podcast\u2019s YouTube, Wilson then said, \u201cHold up \u2026\u201d One title, \u201cGravy on My Guitar,\u201d caught her eye. And sparked a funny story from being on tour.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt just reminds me,\u201d Wilson said. \u201cHardy [a mononymous country singer\/songwriter who\u2019s penned tunes for the likes of Blake Shelton<\/a>] took me and some of my crew to a strip club in Huntsville [Alabama], and they have biscuits and gravy night.\u201d<\/p>\n

Von\u2019s interest was understandably piqued. \u201cOh, that\u2019s great. Is it pricey over there?\u201d Wilson replied, \u201cWell, he [Hardy] gave me a hundred ones, and it was like, have fun. It was like my end of tour gift.\u201d Von asked, \u201cAnd you\u2019re over there just buying biscuits?\u201d<\/p>\n

Wilson answered, \u201cWell, it wasn\u2019t biscuits and gravy night that night. We had just missed it. This was like a Friday night or something. but they were like, y\u2019 all gotta come back for biscuits and gravy night. Blah, blah, blah. And I thought, that\u2019s nice. You know, sit around eating some biscuits and gravy. No, they\u2019re rolling around in the gravy and people are throwing the biscuits.\u201d<\/p>\n

Von said, \u201cOh, yeah. I don\u2019t want that. My mother loves biscuit biscuits and gravy. If I took her and you didn\u2019t get to eat it, she would be upset.\u201d <\/p>\n

The story was picked up by country music blogs. And Uncle Buck\u2019s Boobie Bungalow took note. Promoting their next \u201cbiscuits, gravy, and wrasslin\u2019\u201d event on Nov. 26, the club posted on social media<\/a>: \u201cWe\u2019re cordially inviting Lainey Wilson & Theo Von as our ringside judges!\u201d No word yet if Wilson and Von will take them up on it.<\/p>\n

Von\u2019s Wilson episode, which has garnered more than 800,000 views so far, isn\u2019t the first mention of Huntsville on his podcast. <\/p>\n

Last year, Von, whose YouTube account has more than 4 million followers, interviewed country-rap phenom Jessie Murph. The teenage Murph, who recently made news with a controversial music video for her single \u201c1965,\u201d<\/a> grew up in nearby Athens, Alabama. But she was born in Huntsville. <\/p>\n

In the Murph ep<\/a>, which has more than 2 million views, Von said, \u201cHuntsville is kind of a cool place. I feel like it\u2019s the next Lexington [Kentucky], kind of. There\u2019s a lot of odd diversity there.\u201d <\/p>\n
