The Nothing Phone (1) is on its last year of software support and, before closing up shop, the device has just picked up one of Android 15\u2019s core features in Private Space \u2013 or at least Nothing\u2019s take on it.<\/p>\n

In a new update rolling out now, the original Nothing Phone (1) is getting perhaps its last major feature addition. Android 15\u2019s Private Space is now available on Nothing Phone (1), rounding out the larger update that initially rolled out early this year<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Private Space, as a refresher, allows users to place certain apps within a portion of the software that requires additional authentication to access. That \u201csecret compartment,\u201d as we previously described it<\/a>, can include its own Google account and isolates your data from other apps on your phone.<\/p>\n

On Nothing Phone (1), \u201cPrivacy space\u201d lives in the app drawer and is accessible with a swipe, and works <\/a>similarly to how Private Space works on Pixel phones.<\/p>\n

Beyond that, Nothing Phone (1) is also adding an upgraded Hotspot Manager, the June 2025 security patch, and various fixes. The full changelog follows:<\/p>\n
