Japan-based artist Barbara Endo Uemura is presenting \u201cLove and Happy Hearts Art\u201d \u2014 her frist exhibition in Los Angeles \u2014\u00a0at the Miyako Hotel, 328 E. First St. in Little Tokyo.<\/p>\n

The show will be open Saturday, Sept. 6, to Monday, Sept. 8, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.<\/p>\n

Uemura\u2019s artwork uses traditional Japanese materials: washi paper, kimono\/obi materials, origami, mizuhiki, and kanji calligraphy.<\/p>\n

Original goods on sale include books, postcards, T-shirts, pouches, badges, notebooks and calendars.<\/p>\n

Originally from Los Angeles, where she attended Belmont High School, Uemura now lives in Kagoshima.<\/p>\n
