Numerous times, Marisol Martinez patiently answered questions and held my hand virtually while I walked through the steps with her live.

Sheri Steele-Morrison was always super polite, helpful and friendly as she reminded me in person once more what I needed to get this permit done.

Just like Leslie De Los Santos with Homeless Solutions who is helping all of us address increased homelessness along Greenville Avenue.

Opinion

Get smart opinions on the topics North Texans care about.

By signing up, you agree to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

I consistently find city of Dallas employees patient, knowledgeable and very willing to help, even though they are often operating in confusing environments with frustrated residents. I spent many a Sunday afternoon at one of their open houses, visiting not only about the market, but also their interests.

Evans’ passion was photography, and Harris and I loved to talk politics. Their contributions to the LGBTQ community are endless, their gentlemanly demeanors admirable and their real estate skills first rate.

If you live or have lived in the Perry Heights neighborhood of Dallas, you knew them and they knew you and the history of your house.

If there is an afterlife, I know that a loving God will cherish having both of them as counsel. Goodbye, old friend.

Antone Hipp, Dallas/Oak Lawn

3 Randy Smith — The referee shaking hands with the infamous Bill Belichick at the North Carolina-Texas Christian University football game Monday night was none other than Randy Smith, the newest City Council member for the city of Addison. Not only does he do a great job refereeing, but he will do even better as the freshman council member.
