The president\u2019s ever-elusive youngest son is, once again<\/a>, nowhere to be found. <\/p>\n

Barron Trump, 19, was expected to return for his sophomore year at New York University\u2019s Stern School of Business in Manhattan on Tuesday, but according to multiple campus security guards, Barron has not shown up, People<\/a> reports. <\/p>\n

One officer told the outlet he was advised that Barron is \u201cdoing a semester at another NYU campus,\u201d declining to elaborate to protect the teen\u2019s privacy. The Daily Beast has reached out to NYU and the first lady\u2019s office, which handles personal questions about the presidential family, for comment. <\/p>\n

Barron is a man of many mysteries and has rarely been seen by his father\u2019s side since his dad\u2019s January inauguration. <\/p>\n

Despite his towering height of 6-foot-7, Barron often lies low. He kept mainly to himself his freshman year of college, is an avid video game player, and was called \u201can oddity on campus\u201d by the president of the NYU College Republicans during an interview for Vanity Fair<\/a>. <\/p>\n

A source told People that Barron is not so interested in dating<\/a> or other such preoccupations typical of people his age. Instead, Barron reportedly spent his summer vacation working on potential business and tech ventures and spent a \u201cgreat deal of time\u201d with his family. <\/p>\n

In August, People<\/a> reported that his helicopter mother Melania Trump keeps close tabs on her only child. A political source told the outlet that FLOTUS \u201cwatches Barron constantly in an effort to be sure nobody messes with him or bullies him, as this is a constant worry with her… She always knows where he is and what he\u2019s doing.\u201d <\/p>\n

In 2024, People<\/a> reported that Melania ensured Barron stayed in Trump Tower during his freshman year instead of living in a school dorm. In an interview with Fox News<\/a> that year, Melania shared, \u201cI could not say I\u2019m an empty nester,\u201d because \u201cI don\u2019t feel that way.\u201d She explained that Barron chose to return to his hometown for college, \u201cIt was his decision to come here, that he wants to be in New York and study in New York and live in his home, and I respect that.\u201d<\/p>\n

While NYU maintains three main degree-granting campuses\u2014in New York City, Abu Dhabi, and Shanghai\u2014it maintains several academic centers in cities around the world, including one in Washington D.C., which would keep him closer to his family.<\/p>\n
