The excerpts appear to offer a detailed account of the day Elvis\u2019 only child died inside a San Fernando Valley community hospital from complications surrounding <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/lisa-marie-presley-cause-of-death-bowel-obstruction-1234788340\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a small bowel obstruction<\/a> linked to a prior bariatric surgery. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tAccording to the pages labeled as court exhibits, Priscilla rushed to her daughter\u2019s bedside and was holding her hand, stroking her face, and telling her she was loved as family members gathered. Lisa Marie\u2019s eldest daughter, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/riley-keough\/\" id=\"auto-tag_riley-keough\" data-tag=\"riley-keough\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Riley Keough<\/a>, was on a plane to join them when a \u201ccode blue\u201d emergency alarm indicated Lisa Marie\u2019s heart had stopped, the pages read.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cThe next thing I remember is the doctor talking to me. He asked me what I wanted him to do. They had restarted Lisa\u2019s heart, but there was no guarantee it would keep beating,\u201d Priscilla purportedly writes. \u201cI asked the doctor, \u2018What kind of life will she have if we keep her on that machine?\u2019 He looked at me with compassion and shook his head. \u2018No quality of life at all.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tIn the excerpts, Priscilla allegedly claims Lisa Marie had \u201clittle brain activity\u201d and that the daughter she knew as \u201calways so vital, wasn\u2019t there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cI thought about my girl, my wild, rebellious, passionate girl, lying in a vegetative state for the rest of her life,\u201d she wrote, according to the exhibits. \u201cI said what I had to. \u2018Take her off the machine, Doctor.\u2019 My voice was barely above a whisper.\u201d She then broke down and blacked out.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cIt was unbearable. I began to sob. I don\u2019t remember falling,\u201d she purpotedly wrote. \u201cAfter that, everything went dark. \u2026 I don\u2019t want to remember.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\t\tEditor\u2019s picks<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tPriscilla\u2019s reps had no immediate comment when asked about the book excerpts on Friday. Her lawyers, Marty Singer and Wayne Harman, previously called the first version of the $50 million fraud and breach-of-contract lawsuit, <a data-id=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/priscilla-presley-sued-partners-elder-abuse-lisa-marie-1235407345\/\" data-type=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/priscilla-presley-sued-partners-elder-abuse-lisa-marie-1235407345\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">filed last month<\/a> by Priscilla\u2019s former business advisers Brigitte Kruse and Kevin Fialko, \u201cone of the most shameful, ridiculous, salacious, and meritless lawsuits\u201d they had ever seen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tOn Friday, Singer and Harman issued a new statement focusing on other claims in the amended complaint that alleged Priscilla pushed Elvis to an early grave. According to the new complaint, Priscilla\u2019s efforts to increase her divorce settlement \u201cexerted undue pressure on Elvis, pushing him to his death.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cPriscilla did not have anything to do with the assassination of JFK, she did not cover up Area 51, she did not fake the moon landing, and she is not secretly keeping Bigfoot locked in a cabin in Canada. They then claimed Kruse \u201cengaged in a relentless and calculated campaign of elder abuse and fraud in order to take control of Ms. Presley\u2019s finances for her own benefit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tIn a separate financial elder abuse lawsuit, <a data-id=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/priscilla-presley-lawsuit-financial-elder-abuse-1235063496\/\" data-type=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/priscilla-presley-lawsuit-financial-elder-abuse-1235063496\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">filed last year<\/a>,  Priscilla claims Kruse and Fialko duped her into signing a series of contracts that gave her only minority interests in the companies they formed to exploit her name, image and likeness. For their part, Kruse and Fialko claim Priscilla entered the contracts knowingly, benefitted from their services and then cut them off, in breach of their agreements, when her fortunes changes in the aftermath of Lisa Marie\u2019s death. To date, Ms. Presley has presented zero evidence in support of her salacious claims, and we intend to hold her accountable for her reckless behavior,\u201d Jordan Matthews, the lawyer representing Kruse and Fialko, said Friday, responding to the latest statement from Priscilla\u2019s lawyers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tLisa Marie was 54 when she died <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/lisa-marie-presley-singer-songwriter-dead-obituary-1234660333\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in the hospital<\/a> on Jan. 12, 2023. When Kruse and Fialko filed the first version of their Los Angeles lawsuit last month, they garnered headlines with their blockbuster claim that Priscilla violated Lisa Marie\u2019s advanced health care directive. They attached the directive, in which Lisa stated she wanted her life \u201cprolonged as long as possible within the limits of generally accepted health care standards.\u201d The advisers claimed Presley discontinued life support \u201cwithin hours\u201d because she was estranged from her daughter and knew Lisa Marie was on the verge of removing her as the sole trustee of a $25 million life insurance trust. They said Priscilla already had been removed from her role managing Lisa Marie\u2019s Promenade Trust and was facing threats of possible legal action from Lisa Marie.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tAs Rolling Stone previously reported, a few weeks after Lisa Marie\u2019s death, Priscilla <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/priscilla-presley-disputes-amendment-lisa-marie-trust-graceland-1234669956\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">challenged Lisa Marie\u2019s 2016 amendment to her main asset, the Promenade Trust<\/a>. The amendment removed Priscilla as co-trustee and replaced her with Riley Keough, as well as Lisa Marie\u2019s now deceased son Benjamim Keough, who died in July 2020. Priscilla was never a beneficiary of the Promenade Trust, so the change meant she lost her only influence over Promenade\u2019s marquis assets, including Elvis\u2019 Graceland mansion, its archives, and Lisa Marie\u2019s 15 percent interest in Elvis Presley Enterprises, the company that owns and manages Elvis\u2019 name, image, and likeness. Keough also agreed to pay Priscilla $50,000 to resign as co-trustee of the irrevocable trust whose sole asset was the life insurance policy. And Priscilla was awarded an annual salary of $100,000 for 10 years for her new role as a \u201cspecial adviser\u201d to the Promenade Trust.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe next hearing in the elder abuse case is set for next week.
