DALLAS \u2014 Halloween is still almost two months away, but there\u2019s a hotel in Dallas that\u2019s eager to help guests get in the Halloween spirit. Maybe a little too eager.<\/p>\n
The fictional hotel is the Boomont. It\u2019s part of a new adventure called Boo, a spooky experience opening September 5 at The Galleria in Dallas.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you check in, we promise you will check out,\u201d Boo co-creator Scot Redman joked.<\/p>\n
Redman and his team, which also created Snowday, said it\u2019s not a haunted house. So, then, what is it?<\/p>\n
\u201cOnly the guests can discover that,\u201d Redman said.<\/p>\n
As the story goes, the Boomont was the first hotel in Texas with electricity.<\/p>\n
Built by Mr. Boomont in 1901, it was the height of hospitality until, one night, guests mysteriously disappeared.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe hotel unfortunately closed, but we have discovered it and reopened it over 100 years later,\u201d Redman said.<\/p>\n
Some elements of the story might give guests goosebumps, but it\u2019s meant to be spooky, not scary.<\/p>\n
No blood, guts, or gore to be found.<\/p>\n
The Boomont features 13 rooms that tell a story. Guests move through the space at their own pace, explore the rooms and get lost in the story.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere are 13 different rooms, but there are thousands of moments to see,\u201d Redman said.<\/p>\n
In other words, make a reservation and you\u2019ll have a hauntingly good time.<\/p>\n
