The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County recorded its third consecutive slight increase since the end of a run of 12 increases in 13 days, rising three-tenths of a cent Friday to $4.644.<\/p>\n
The average price rose one-tenth of a cent Wednesday and two-tenths of a cent Thursday after dropping two-tenths of a cent Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.<\/p>\n
The average price is 3 cents more than one week ago, 17.7 cents higher than one month ago and 3.6 cents greater than one year ago. It has dropped $1.849 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.<\/p>\n
The Orange County average price rose for the 15th time in 16 days, increasing seven-tenths of a cent to $4.618. It has risen 17.6 cents over the past 16 days, including three-tenths of a cent Thursday.<\/p>\n The Orange County average price rose 13 consecutive days, dropped two- tenths of a cent Wednesday and resumed increasing Thursday. It is 3.9 cents more than one week ago, 20.8 cents higher than one month ago and 8.1 cents greater than one year ago.<\/p>\n
The Orange County average price has dropped $1.84 since rising to a record $6.458 on Oct. 5, 2022.<\/p>\n “According to Oil Price Information Service, the state\u2019s gasoline inventory has increased to its highest level in two months, which has had a stabilizing effect on pump prices after some refinery problems caused prices to spike before Labor Day weekend,\u201d Doug Shupe, the Automobile Club of Southern California’s corporate communications manager, said in a statement Thursday.<\/p>\n The national average price rose three-tenths of a cent to $3.204, its third consecutive increase. It has risen 1.8 cents over the past three days, including 1.1 cents Thursday.<\/p>\n The national average price is three-tenths of a cent more than one week ago and 4.1 cents more than one month ago but 10.4 cents less than one year ago.
