{"id":205256,"date":"2025-09-06T15:06:18","date_gmt":"2025-09-06T15:06:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/205256\/"},"modified":"2025-09-06T15:06:18","modified_gmt":"2025-09-06T15:06:18","slug":"woman-bashed-in-head-with-mini-baseball-bat-on-nyc-subway-nypd-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/205256\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman bashed in head with mini baseball bat on NYC subway: NYPD"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 51-year-old man was arrested after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/2025\/07\/22\/second-woman-arrested-attack-female-mta-worker-brooklyn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">whacking a woman<\/a> in the head with a mini baseball bat after they got into an argument on a subway train in downtown Manhattan Friday afternoon, cops said.<\/p>\n<p>Abdul Muhammad struck the 48-year-old victim in the forehead with a mini baseball bat after they got into a verbal dispute on a northbound <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mta.info\/maps\/subway-line-maps\/4-line\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">No. 4 train<\/a> near the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unionsquarenyc.org\/events\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Union Square<\/a> \u2013 E. 14th St. subway station around 4:30 p.m., according to police.<\/p>\n<p>Muhammad and the woman did not know each other.<\/p>\n<p>After striking her, Muhammad and the victim toppled onto another female straphanger, 25, who was not involved in the dispute, knocking her to the ground.<\/p>\n<p>Cops could not immediately say what prompted the argument.<\/p>\n<p>Medics transported the women to <a href=\"https:\/\/lenoxhill.northwell.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lenox Hill Hospital<\/a> in stable condition.<\/p>\n<p>Muhammad, who lives in Queens, was arrested at the spot.
