Denny Hamlin is two-for-two in NASCAR Cup Series poles in the postseason.<\/p>\n
Hamlin earned the pole at World Wide Technology Raceway with a lap of 139.190mph (32.330s). It is his 46th career pole in the series and third of 2025.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe were able to, very similarly to last week, make some great adjustments from where we were in practice,\u201d Hamlin said. \u201cAgain, there is so much that is different from practice to qualifying when you are going for one lap \u2013 air pressures at a track like this are dramatically different. Certainly the intensity with which I drive is a lot different in practice than qualifying. They gave me all of the adjustments that I needed to have a really good handling car there, and we were able to capitalize on it.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Kyle Larson qualified second with a lap of 139.099mph.<\/p>\n
Chase Briscoe qualified third at 138.902mph, Ross Chastain fourth at 138.855mph, Ryan Blaney fifth at 138.752mph, William Byron sixth at 138.602mph and Tyler Reddick seventh at 138.457mph.<\/p>\n
Christopher Bel qualified eighth at 138.410mph and Austin Cindric ninth at 138.160mph. Cindric is the defending winner at World Wide Technology.<\/p>\n
Zane Smith qualified 10th at 137.724mph. Smith was the only non-playoff driver to qualify inside the top 10.<\/p>\n
Josh Berry qualified 12th, Joey Logano 13th, Bubba Wallace 14th, Austin Dillon 15th, Shane van Gisbergen 18th and Chase Elliott 19th.<\/p>\n
Alex Bowman was the lowest qualifying playoff driver and will come from the 25th position.<\/p>\n
Sunday is the second race in the opening round of the postseason. Briscoe clinched his spot in the second round with a win last weekend at Darlington Raceway.<\/p>\n
Team Penske drivers have won two of the three Cup Series races at World Wide Technology Raceway.<\/p>\n
