Menes brings a rare blend of editorial judgment and production-level rigor from a career that spans New York, Los Angeles and North Texas. A Harvard graduate with a degree in history, she worked in advertising, branding and marketing on both coasts, served as literary manager for Los Angeles\u2019 Vox Humana Theater Company, and honed her writing craft at the industry-renowned UCLA Extension Writers\u2019 Program. As a story analyst at Creative Artists Agency \u2014 where projects were first \u201cpackaged\u201d around powerful ideas \u2014 she became the go-to analyst for non-obvious source material, consistently finding the narrative thread in articles, self-help and history titles, and obscure biographies. She was later tapped by Phil Rosenthal, creator of Everybody Loves Raymond, as a trusted \u201cgreat with story\u201d collaborator.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve always had a feel for narrative,\u201d Menes said. \u201cGrowing up, my sister and I would land on a show midstream, and she\u2019d ask, \u2018Who are those people, what\u2019s going on?\u2019 I\u2019d pretend to be annoyed, then lay it all out for her, because I could always spot the narrative \u2014 the most compelling path through the material. I\u2019ve spent my career sharpening that instinct in rooms where story carries the stakes.\u201d<\/p>\n
