The City of Dallas’ iconic logo has been used for 53 years, with its first appearance dating back to Aug. 10, 1972. In a post celebrating the logo’s 50th anniversary, the City of Dallas noted the “D” and the green tree inside were “meant both to symbolize the quality of living in Dallas and to project a feeling of greenery, growth, and concern for the environment.”<\/p>\n
Former Dallas City Manager, now in the same position in Austin, T.C.
