A New York City woman\u2019s heart \u2014\u00a0and likely her rent\u00a0\u2014 will go on and on after the \u201cTitanic\u201d devotee turned her apartment into a replica<\/a> of the doomed ship.<\/p>\n

Sarah Boll, who told People she\u2019s seen James Cameron\u2019s Best Picture winner \u201cover 500 times,\u201d has been documenting the process on social media \u2014 where she boasts more than 24,000 followers on her TitanicApartment<\/a> TikTok \u2014 and has quickly become known as the queen of rental makeovers.<\/p>\n

The 38-year-old, who\u2019s obsessed with both the epic romance and the vessel that inspired the film, first took a page from Manhattan\u2019s former interactive \u201cSleep No More\u201d exhibit to decorate her home like the Titanic for a party, but it never materialized because she could \u201cnever finish this apartment.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d never wanted to show anyone because in my mind, I\u2019m like, this isn\u2019t good enough and I need to be better,\u201d she told People.<\/p>\n

But Boll\u2019s ambitions \u2014 which included portholes, as well as a fully realized \u201ciceberg room\u201d and the Veranda Caf\u00e9 \u2014 \u201ccompletely got out of control.\u201d<\/p>\n

Using materials from the likes of eBay, Etsy and Amazon, Boll is still \u201cadd[ing] stuff\u201d every day and \u201chas no idea\u201d how much she has spent on the renovation thus far. That goes for time too, she said, the amount of which she \u201ccan\u2019t estimate.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is all renter-friendly, which people do not understand,\u201d Boll said. \u201cI had to get creative with it because the ceiling is also all cement. Everything has to be taped up. People can\u2019t comprehend that this is all tape and an art project.\u201d<\/p>\n

Boll said she hopes to eventually put her collection of items somewhere on display \u201cwhere people could walk through [it],\u201d but for now, she loves the \u201cweird\u201d element of it being confined to her apartment.<\/p>\n

She added that she might eventually craft a yellow-brick road, transitioning from \u201cTitanic\u201d to \u201cThe Wizard of Oz.\u201d<\/p>\n
