{"id":206763,"date":"2025-09-07T04:41:08","date_gmt":"2025-09-07T04:41:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/206763\/"},"modified":"2025-09-07T04:41:08","modified_gmt":"2025-09-07T04:41:08","slug":"powerball-winning-numbers-announced-for-estimated-1-8-billion-jackpot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/206763\/","title":{"rendered":"Powerball winning numbers announced for estimated $1.8 billion jackpot"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The winning numbers for an estimated $1.8 billion Powerball jackpot \u2014 the game&#8217;s second-largest prize ever \u2014 are 11, 23, 44, 61, 62 with a Powerball of 17.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday&#8217;s jackpot has an estimated cash value of $826.4 million, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.powerball.com\/saturdays-powerball-jackpot-raised-to-1.80-billion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Powerball said<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It was not immediately known if there were any winners of Saturday&#8217;s jackpot.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The top prize had climbed after no winning tickets were sold for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/powerball-jackpot-1-8-billion-second-highest\/\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wednesday night&#8217;s $1.4 billion grand prize<\/a>. There have been six jackpots of more than $1 billion in Powerball&#8217;s 33-year history.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We encourage everyone to play responsibly and take pride in knowing that every $2 ticket also helps support good causes in their community,&#8221; said Matt Strawn, Powerball Product Group Chair and Iowa Lottery CEO.<\/p>\n<p>Jackpots rise as more and more tickets are sold as drawings approach, and the previous current holder of fourth place is a $1.326 billion jackpot won in Oregon in April 2024.<\/p>\n<p>A single jackpot winner would <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/powerball-jackpot-winners-lump-sum-annual-payments-accountant-advice\/\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">have the choice<\/a> of taking a lump sum payment estimated at $826.4 million or opting for a payout via an annuity, which would consist of one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5% each year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>No one has won Powerball&#8217;s jackpot since May 31, when a single ticket <a href=\"https:\/\/www.powerball.com\/204.5-million-powerball-jackpot-won-in-california\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">in California<\/a> claimed a $204.5 million jackpot with a cash value of $91.6 million. So far this year, the jackpot has been hit four times.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/powerball-jackpot-data\/\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">odds of winning the top prize<\/a> are 1 in 292.2 million, according to Powerball. Drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 11 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n<p>In 2022, a single ticket sold in Altadena, California, claimed a $2.04 billion jackpot, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/powerball-numbers-announced-record-breaking-jackpot-delay\/\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">largest in both Powerball and lottery history<\/a>.
