South Carolina Gamecocks coach Dawn Staley<\/a> seemingly stole the show when she attended a recent game of her school\u2019s football team. On Saturday, Sept. 6, coach Shane Beamer\u2019s Gamecocks\u2019 football squad is taking on their state rivals in the South Carolina State Bulldogs, in their home pitch, the Williams-Brice Stadium, for their matchup in week two of the 2025 college football regular season.<\/p>\n

With this, the Gamecocks\u2019 women\u2019s basketball social media team took it to their Instagram account to upload a story of Staley. In the video, Staley is seen embracing the love being shown by the South Carolina faithful towards her by dancing, as they were chanting her name repeatedly. This is because Staley was watching the game from \u201cThe Cockpit\u201d, which is what the school calls their student section in their football stadium.<\/p>\n

Coach Beamer<\/a> and the rest of his Gamecocks\u2019 football squad, much to the delight of their fans and supporters, just like Staley, are heading into the Bulldogs matchup with proper momentum. This is because they previously defeated the Virginia Tech Hokies by 13 points, 24-11, in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta Georgi,a to open their 2025 campaign. They finished the 2024 season with an overall record of 9-4 (5-3 SEC).<\/p>\n

In the clip, several fans and students are seen rejoicing despite the rainy weather as they shout louder once they realized that the three-time national champion coach is recording them.<\/p>\n
