Maybe, if he ever does, they\u2019ll put a pigeon coop right next to it.<\/p>\n<p>After getting the first college win of his 50-year coaching career, Belichick confirmed in a press conference that he has banned Patriots scouts from North Carolina practices.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s clear that I\u2019m not welcome around their facility,\u201d Belichick said. \u201cAnd <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=rXRUs1PRpBU&amp;t=374s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">so they\u2019re not welcome at ours<\/a>. Pretty simple.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s also pretty insane. Even more insane than entrusting a career defensive coach with the position of offensive coordinator, which he did three years ago in New England.<\/p>\n<p>Belichick\u2019s pettiness serves no purpose. Coaches get fired all the time. That doesn\u2019t mean they\u2019re no longer welcome in the building.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s hurting his players by making it harder for them to be properly scouted by all NFL teams. He\u2019s also destroying any glimmer of hope he may have had to return to the NFL.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, he now acts as if he doesn\u2019t want to return to the NFL. Because he knows it\u2019ll never happen. The ridiculous venom he\u2019s directing to the franchise that gave him the opportunity to win six Super Bowls will ensure that no NFL owner will ever think twice, much less once, about hiring him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Maybe Bill Belichick won\u2019t be getting a statue in New England.
