{"id":20724,"date":"2025-06-28T03:00:10","date_gmt":"2025-06-28T03:00:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/20724\/"},"modified":"2025-06-28T03:00:10","modified_gmt":"2025-06-28T03:00:10","slug":"republican-leaders-condemn-tarrant-gop-chairs-bigotry-over-jewish-muslim-people","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/20724\/","title":{"rendered":"Republican leaders condemn Tarrant GOP chair\u2019s \u2018bigotry\u2019 over Jewish, Muslim people"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mayor Mattie Parker and several Republican leaders across Fort Worth, Tarrant County and the state took to social media June 27 to condemn Tarrant County GOP chair Bo French\u2019s \u201cbigotry\u201d and call for new leadership of the local party.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Parker joined Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, who was the first in a hailstorm of X posts Friday night, in slamming French over a recent social media post about Jewish and Muslim people. On June 25, French posted a since-deleted poll on X, asking his nearly 29,000 followers, \u201cWho is a bigger threat to America?\u201d Respondents had two options: \u201cJews\u201d or \u201cMuslims.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, Patrick <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/DanPatrick\/status\/1938758768725991899\">posted on X<\/a> that \u201cBo French\u2019s words do not reflect my values nor the values of the Republican Party. Antisemitism and religious bigotry have no place in Texas.\u201d He called for French\u2019s immediate resignation and replacement as chair of the Tarrant GOP.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Sharing Patrick\u2019s post with an added message of her own, Parker posted: \u201cToo many examples of @BoFrenchTX\u2019s bigotry and hate. This is one of the most egregious examples. Go fishing on X for some of the other prime examples. Too many to list here. New leadership with @tarrantgop is a given. Clear the deck. #blessyourheart.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Neither Parker nor French immediately returned the Fort Worth Report\u2019s requests for comment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Eight minutes before Patrick\u2019s post, French <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/BoFrenchTX\/status\/1938756870551826895\">posted on X<\/a> to apologize for his earlier poll, writing that \u201csome people clearly misunderstood the intent.\u201d He said he regrets posting the poll, which he deleted.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet me be clear: antisemitism has no place in the Republican Party, and if you disagree with me, get out,\u201d French wrote. \u201cWe respect the free exercise of religion and we welcome anyone of good faith who shares our conservative values and respects the Constitution.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Earlier this week I posted a poll following the election of an Islamic communist while I am also working to expose the radical islamists in Tarrant County. Some people clearly misunderstood the intent. <\/p>\n<p>The poll has been deleted. <\/p>\n<p>I regret posting it.<\/p>\n<p>Let me be clear:\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Bo French (@BoFrenchTX) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BoFrenchTX\/status\/1938756870551826895?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">June 28, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In a separate post, French said he respects Patrick but strongly disagrees with his \u201cassessment of the situation\u201d \u2014\u00a0and he\u2019s not backing down from his seat as chair.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have always strongly supported Israel, and I\u2019m not resigning,\u201d French wrote. \u201cI\u2019m focused on continuing to make Tarrant County even more Republican.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>French is well known on social media for his inflammatory rhetoric surrounding various social issues and has posted often about his goal of making Tarrant County \u201cinhospitable to Democrats\u201d in the name of solidifying Republican dominance. Several Republican leaders across the region and the state spoke out Friday in a rare public rebuke.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Republican U.S. Sen. John Cornyn <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JohnCornyn\/status\/1938762466470600839\">shared Patrick\u2019s post<\/a> with the brief message, \u201cI am with @DanPatrick.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Rep. Giovanni Capriglione, R-Southlake, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/VoteGiovanni\/status\/1938772152083247482\">posted<\/a> Friday night that \u201cno one has done more damage to Tarrant County Republicans than Bo \u2018all I do is tweet and hate\u2019 French. His endless vitriol has dragged us down long enough. If he had an ounce of sense \u2014 or shame \u2014 he\u2019d resign before he is thrown out.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Republicans U.S. Rep. Craig Goldman of Fort Worth, and Texas Sen. Phil King of Weatherford also joined the chorus to demand French\u2019s resignation.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Goldman <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/GoldmanCraig\/status\/1938763982325665920\">wrote on X<\/a> that \u201cthere are too many in our party who work too hard to support good people trying to do good things. As a 5th generation Jewish American I know what antisemitism looks like.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/PhilKingTX\/status\/1938770945893867679\">his own post<\/a>, King said, \u201cThis pattern of reckless, incendiary rhetoric is harmful and does not reflect our party or our values.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Tarrant County Commissioner Manny Ramirez, a Republican, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MannyRamirez_TX\/status\/1938782216189820956\">said in a post<\/a> that the local GOP should remain focused on its mission \u2014 to \u201cshare our party\u2019s platform with as many community members as possible and work to elect conservative Republicans who can implement winning, results-driven policies.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is no place in our movement for hateful rhetoric, including antisemitism,\u201d Ramirez wrote.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The mission of our local GOP should be to share our party\u2019s platform with as many community members as possible and work to elect conservative Republicans who can implement winning, results-driven policies.<\/p>\n<p>Our focus must remain on growing our majority, welcoming new voters, and\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/8jrERVok7x\">https:\/\/t.co\/8jrERVok7x<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Manny Ramirez (@MannyRamirez_TX) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MannyRamirez_TX\/status\/1938782216189820956?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">June 28, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Fort Worth City Council member Macy Hill, also a Republican, wrote, \u201cThank you, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick\u201d in a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Macy4FortWorth\/status\/1938776563081760976\">post Friday night<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Tarrant County Democratic Party <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TarrantDemParty\/status\/1938782332766327079\">chimed in on X<\/a> to share screenshots of French\u2019s poll and Patrick\u2019s post.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is what happens when your fingers write checks that your (donkey emoji) can\u2019t cash,\u201d the account wrote.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Earlier Friday, the Texas chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations demanded French\u2019s resignation, calling his social media poll \u201cdeeply offensive and inflammatory\u201d in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cair.com\/press_releases\/cair-texas-demands-removal-of-tarrant-county-gop-chair-over-antisemitic-islamophobic-poll\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news release<\/a>. They called on French to delete the poll and issue an apology.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Shaimaa Zayan, an operations manager with the council, described French\u2019s poll as a \u201cblatant act of antisemitic and Islamophobic bigotry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe expect elected officials and politicians to foster unity and lead with wisdom, not to promote suspicion and division,\u201d Zayan said in the release. \u201cBy framing Jews and Muslims as potential threats to our country, this poll promotes both antisemitism and Islamophobia and adds to the unfortunately rising level of bigotry we see nationwide.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Tarrant GOP sent a newsletter addressed from Bo French at 9:20 p.m. Friday with the subject line: \u201cMy Response to CAIR.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe entrenchment of radical Islam in our county is far worse than we described last week. Since our last report on radical Islam, CAIR has called for our Chairman to step down,\u201d the newsletter states. \u201cNaturally, this has only motivated us to go further.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The newsletter then went on the attack against Moujahed Bakhach, a <a href=\"https:\/\/fortworthreport.org\/2025\/01\/28\/fort-worth-interfaith-leaders-break-bread-share-dialogue-after-israel-hamas-ceasefire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">local Muslim leader<\/a>. In the newsletter, French wrote that Bakhach is \u201cdeeply involved in pro-terrorist activity.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo matter how much Democrats and their liberal Republican allies try to cover for radical Islam, we will not be fooled and will continue to expose it,\u201d the newsletter states. \u201cPeople like this want our county destroyed. They think that sending their watchdogs in the liberal media will scare us off. No matter how many times CAIR, the leftist media, or other radicals come after us, we will not back down.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>CAIR representatives did not immediately return the Report\u2019s request for comment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Cecilia Lenzen is a government accountability reporter for the Fort Worth Report.
