Beaches, pools close across New York City"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As the summer comes to an end, so do some of our favorite outdoor hangouts. <\/p>\n<p>This Sunday, Brooklynites will say goodbye to outdoor pools and beaches as the season ends in the city. <\/p>\n<p>Beaches will reopen for strolling and sitting during the off-season, but swimming will remain off limits. Year-round indoor pools located at recreation centers will still be open. <\/p>\n<p>Coney Island beachgoers out on Saturday, soaking up the last bit of fun before the weather takes a turn, spoke with News12 about what they will miss. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is very hard to say goodbye to the sand and the water, but I know that in eight months, Memorial Day weekend will roll around again,&#8221; said Tanya Torres. &#8220;I&#8217;ll be out here, either at Coney or Brighton or Rockaway, enjoying myself.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"As the summer comes to an end, so do some of our favorite outdoor hangouts.
